Programme 2 concerns Jalpatagua, a small town and centre in the southern region of Jutiapa. This is one of the parishes of the two Gozitan priests working amongst 60,000 peasants. These social workers, leaders in their new environment, are creating projects which aim to sustain hundreds of families. In Jalpatagua, a huge stretch of land was purchased from private landowners and is now being used for the cultivation of tomatoes and similar crops It is the ambition of the Gozitan missionaries to construct a small hospital with the financial aid that is regularly forthcoming from Gozo and Malta and other countries.

Throughout the programme, the viewer can observe the simple ways of life still enduring in these remote villages.
