The Coastline of Gozo

Gozo is a five by nine mile island. Yet it boasts a varied coastline which features spectacular five hundred foot high cliffs at Ta` Cenc, beautiful sandy beaches like Ramla l-Hamra and rocky inlets like Wied l-Ghasri. Gozo`s coast is famous for the salt-pans, centuries old pans hewn in the soft globigerina limestone which are still in use to extract natural salt crystals from seawater.
