Gozo`s Prehistory

The first thirty minute documentary covers the various pre-historic sites to be found in Gozo. These include the unique and world renowned Ggantija temples, reputably the oldest free standing temples in the world. Other important sites are The Gozo Stone Circle, a major European archaeological discovery in recent years, as well as sites and exhibits that can be traced to the Bronze Age and the Phoenician influence on the Maltese islands. Of particular interest are the cart-ruts which are strange looking man-made tracks dug in the soft limestone.
